The equipe project identified good practices in engineering industrial placements. This on-going resource is maintained to provide easy access to the documents resulting from the project.

equipe was a consortium based project led by Loughborough University and managed in conjunction with University of Bath, Aston University and University of Surrey.  ICI, BP Amoco, Weetabix, IChemE, Engineering Council and ASET also supported this initiative.

equipe was sponsored by HEFCE's Fund for the Development of Teaching and Learning (FDTL) and identified, evaluated and disseminated widely good practices in industrial placements in engineering. The FDTL funded project concluded in 2001 and supporting work since then has been funded by Loughborough University.

Since the equipe project finished the Higher Education Academy Engineering Subject Centre have produced a Guide to Industrial Placements based on the equipe project Briefing Papers.
